Time is flying! We've been here 9 days already! Jet lag always takes some time to process - and the heat and humidity have taken their toll as well.
We were warmly welcomed by Iraj's family in Colombo with a home cooked meal - and then a good night's sleep! Had a lovely visit in the morning to their temple. Made lotus and incense offerings and felt the peace of being with devotional people.

That night we were fortunate to stumble upon the celebration of the first anniversary of the new president who seems to be bringing fairness to the electoral and governing process here. It was a marvelous show of traditional dances and music from all over the country and from each of the main religious/cultural groups - Singhala/Buddhist, Tamil/Hindu and Muslim. Complete with large screen TV and drone cameras!
